Benjamin Stechschulte Esq.

has practiced Criminal Law as both a prosecutor and defense attorney in the Tampa area since 2005. Ben is a Florida native who graduated Cum Laude from John Carroll University, a Catholic Jesuit University, in Cleveland, Ohio . He then graduated from Stetson University College of Law, in St. Petersburg, Florida , the top law school for trial attorneys in the country.  

Upon graduating from law school, Ben immediately went to work as a prosecutor for the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office.  During his three year tenure at their office, Ben steadily rose up through the ranks and handled a variety of serious misdemeanor and felony cases ranging from but not limited to DUI, Drug Trafficking, and Rape cases. 

In 2008, believing that he could use his extensive experience and skills  from the State Attorney's Office to help people who have been charged with criminal offenses, Ben left their office to become a criminal defense attorney with the Law Offices of Michael Herron.    

As both a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney, Ben has conducted over 35 Jury Trials, 100 Judge Trials, and handled in excess of 2,000 Criminal/DUI/ Traffic cases.

Ben is a former collegiate basketball player who lives in Tampa with his wife and two dogs.
